2011 to 2014

The partnership's current key priorities are:

  • Make sure babies get the best start in life by helping their mothers to have good physical and emotional/mental health in pregnancy and the early months of the child’s life
  • Reduce the harm and pressure caused to families when they live in temporary or poor accommodation
  • Help very young children to be ready to start school and ready to learn: for example, they should be able to communicate well and be able to manage their own basic needs
  • Help the most vulnerable families to improve the parenting they give their children aged from birth to five
  • Effective information, signposting and access to services
  • Parents and carers support positive behaviour

Commissioning priorities include

  • Map services and develop an updated needs assessment
  • Increase parental involvement in the planning, commissioning, design and delivery and review of services
  • Support services to evidence impact
