Medway Public Health are offering a 1-day free conference focusing on the implications of childhood overweight and obesity.

Experts in the field of childhood obesity will cover:

• How to tackle childhood obesity and national guidance
• Current prevalence
• Measuring overweight and obesity (National Child Measurement Programme)
• Impact of being overweight and obese as a child
• Raising the issue of weight to parents / carers
• How to encouraging behaviour change
• Services available in Medway

The conference is free to all Medway based partners interested in finding out more about how Medway is tackling childhood obesity and how to get involved.
