Parents Consultation for the Parent Version of the CYPP - 24th August 2011

There were seven parents taking part in the consultation.

The group were introduced to the role and responsibilities of Medway Children's Trust and the Children and Young People's Plan and the relationship between the two in order to demonstrate the context of the consultation.

The group were shown a range of other easy read versions of Children and Young People's Plans as well as summary reports and info documents in order for them to get a feel of what an easy read version can look like and the range of approaches.

After some discussion the group agreed that the one that they liked best was that of Summary of Brighton and Hove Children and Young Peoples Plan 2009 – 2012

They discussed what they liked and didn’t like about the plan and this formed the basis of the discussions that subsequently took place around what their version of the plan could look like. The following documents are their ideas:
