For the MYC meetings we have to get to Gun Wharf for 5o'clock. Everyone gets a drink at the beginning. When everyone has arrived we start with greetings. Normally everyone takes it in turns to say their name and then something about themselves. This helps new people to learn the names of everyone. After this someone will read the code of conduct and the ground rules. This reminds people what the rules are and how they should behave in the meetings.

After this we normally have a visitor representing a service that children use. They will tell us about their service, we then ask any questions we may have about the service. Normally the visitor will get us into groups and gives each group a set of questions. The questions are sometimes on what we had known about the service before the meeting, who had used the service and sometimes the meeting is on a leaflet about the service. At other times the visitor will tell us about what they have done or how they have used the information we provided them with since the last time we saw them.

Half way through the meeting there is a break where we can get food and drink. There is always a selection of food and hot and cold drinks. After this everyone sits back down and we have a quick game.

Normally in one meeting we will have about 3 visitors. After all the visitors we do any other business then summing up and feeding back. The meetings end at 7.30pm. At the completion of a meeting everyone fills out an evaluation form.
