Medway Children's Trust brings together local organisations and people in a partnership committed to achieving one vision:
We will work together so that children and young people in Medway are safe and cared for, succeed in learning and thrive.
Children's trusts are local partnerships that bring together organisations responsible for services for children, young people and families to make sure they provide the best possible services.
Medway Council and NHS Medway lead the Medway Children's Trust, but work closely with other organisations to ensure that all children, whatever their background and age have all their needs met.
Medway's Children's Trust has promised that all children in Medway are safe and cared for; succeed in learning and thrive.
It will be involved in the interests of every child and young person until they're 19; all young people leaving local authority care until they're 21 (or 25 if they are in full-time education) and young people with learning disabilities until they are 25.
Medway Council and NHS Medway lead the Medway Children's Trust, but work closely with other organisations like the police, schools, universities and colleges, the youth offending team, Medway Youth Trust and the voluntary sector.
All the work of Medway Children's Trust will be informed by user forums which will include the voice of parents and carers, children and young people.
We would like you to get involved and help us plan and develop the services children and young people need.
There are many ways that you can can contribute and get your ideas and views across depending on your commitments, interests and needs.
